They are just what they sound like. You are not actually talking to anyone. You are observing. Usually the observation will take about 15 minutes. (the Superbowl is an exception).

Bumper Stickers

• First, Think about the project and devise the best way to procede.
• Describe the setting
• If the time is relevant, note that.
• How long you have observed – if that is relevant.
• Write down the Bumper stickers you saw
• Choose your two “favorites”. What is the significance of them for you? Why did you like them?
• Do you have any thoughts about why people put them on their cars and why they are more prevalent in some places than others? (If that is true.)

• If you wanted to buy groceries for a week, where would you go? How far would you have to go?
• How far would someone have to go to buy some marijuana?
• I you wanted to see a movie, where would you go? How far would you have to go?
  How would you get there?
• If you wanted to have dinner, where would you go? How far would you have to go?
  How would you get there?
• Can you walk there safely at night?
• Where do people park their cars? Are they safe on the street?
